Refund policy

This policy sets out our returns and refunds procedure for purchases made at www.nkdhockey.com. It applies alongside, and does not replace, your statutory rights as a consumer. For full details of your statutory rights, please refer to our Terms of Service.

Your statutory rights

UK consumers: Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, you have the right to a full refund for faulty goods reported within 30 days of delivery. You also have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receipt under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. Nothing in this policy affects those rights.

EU consumers: You have a two-year statutory guarantee of conformity under EU law. You also have the right to cancel within 14 days of receipt under the Consumer Rights Directive. Nothing in this policy affects those rights.

Returns

Our commercial returns window is 30 days from the date of purchase, which exceeds the statutory 14-day minimum. If 30 days have passed since your purchase, we are unable to offer a refund or exchange outside of your statutory rights.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition as received. It must also be in the original packaging, including the plastic shrink-wrap on the stick head.

To request a return, please log in to your account at nkdhockey.com/account and select the relevant order.

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase. Please do not send your item back to the manufacturer.

Faults

All sticks come with a 3-month commercial guarantee against breakage. This is in addition to your statutory rights, which for EU consumers include a two-year guarantee of conformity. If an item is delivered faulty, or becomes faulty through normal use, please take the following action.

Under 30 days: We will exchange the faulty item. Please email team@nkdhockey.com with your order number and contact number so we can arrange an exchange.

30 days to 3 months: Please send the item back to the address below, along with a covering letter stating the fault, your order number, and your daytime contact number. Please retain proof of postage, as we cannot accept responsibility for returned goods until they have been signed for by a member of our team.

Beyond 3 months: Our commercial guarantee does not apply beyond 3 months from the date of receipt. However, if you are a UK consumer and the fault existed at the time of delivery, you may still have statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 for up to six years from the date of purchase. If you are an EU consumer, your two-year statutory guarantee of conformity applies from the date of delivery. Please contact us at team@nkdhockey.com to discuss your situation.

Rattles and paint chips

Hockey sticks will show wear after sustained use. Sticks are guaranteed against breakage for 3 months from the date of receipt. Chips, scratches, grips, stick tops, and rattles inside the stick are not covered by the guarantee and are not considered faults arising from normal use.

Exempt items

The following items cannot be returned: gift cards.

Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected, we will email you to confirm receipt and notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If approved, a credit will automatically be applied to your original payment method. Please allow the following timeframes from the date we process your refund:

Credit and debit cards: 3 to 5 business days, depending on your card issuer.

Other payment methods: timeframes may vary. Please refer to your payment provider.

Late or missing refunds

If you have not received a refund within the expected timeframe, please take the following steps. First, check your bank account. Then contact your credit card company, as it may take some time before your refund is officially posted. Next, contact your bank, as there is often some processing time before a refund appears on your statement.

Sale items

Only regular-priced items may be refunded under our commercial returns policy. Sale items cannot be refunded unless they are faulty or do not conform to the contract, in which case your statutory rights apply in full.

Exchanges

We only replace items that are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange an item, please email team@nkdhockey.com and send your item to:

Gifts

If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you will receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.

If the item was not marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves first, the refund will be issued to the original purchaser.

You are responsible for arranging and paying for your own return shipping. We do not provide return labels or collect returns. Shipping costs are non-refundable.

For items with a value over £75, we recommend using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We cannot guarantee receipt of returned items until they have been signed for by a member of our team.

We reserve the right to charge a restocking fee for returns that do not meet the conditions set out in this policy.
