our part in the fight against climate change
1 order = 1 tree
We know that producing high-end carbon fibre hockey sticks and flying them around the world to all our players costs the planet. Without them however, we can't play hockey so we need to do something about it.
Our commitment to the planet to offset the carbon produced from stick manufacturing is to plant a tree for every order.
We have partnered with Ecologi to provide this service and each tree is planted and protected in Madagascar. These Mangroves store 4x the carbon compared to tropical rainforests.
Ecologi
It’s now common knowledge that one of the best tools to tackle the climate crisis and keep our temperatures from rising above 1.5C is to plant trees. They are also crucial in preventing ecological collapse.
We have a range of amazing tree planting partners who are able to responsibly plant on our behalf. Ecologi is integrated into our systems to ensure that every time you make a purchase, a fresh tree gets planted.
More Sustainable Every Season
Where performance allows, we prioritise recycled and lower-impact materials across our range.
Selected garments use polyester certified to the Global Recycled Standard (GRS), and we support Better Cotton sourcing for cotton products. For selected knitted base fabrics we use OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified supply, confirming the textiles have been tested for harmful substances; our factory is certified by TESTEX AG, the Swiss Textile Testing Institute.
Certified material options vary by product, fabric and production batch, and documentation is available on request.
Reducing plastic
There's plenty of plastic used in hockey. Essentials like balls and cones have to use it, but packaging and labels don't.
We have reduced the use of plastics across all areas of the business and only be use recycled plastics and multi-use plastics where absolutely necessary.
Recycled + Recyclable
Packaging
The boxes that contain your Naked deliveries are made from recycled materials. They are recyclable too. Our shipping bags are made from partly recycled materials but we are trying hard to replace them.
