Size guide

Here are a few ways to help you choose your stick length:

  • To measure a child hold the hockey stick at their side. The top of the stick should sit between their hip and belly button.
  • If you can't decide between two sizes, consider your child’s position. Defenders sometimes prefer a longer stick for a longer reach in tackling and better power when slapping. A shorter stick improves a stick handling skills so could be considered for more attacking players.
  • Once a young person reaches the age of approximately 13 they will be in a full size stick ie 36.5”(5 f 3”), so you do not need to measure the stick to your hip or belly button once you reach this height.
  • The majority of hockey players use a 36.5” stick but many prefer the extra reach and power of a 37.5" and some even prefer a 38.5"
Stick Length Height
28″ Under 4′ 1″
30″ 4′ 1″ – 4′ 3″
32″ 4′ 4″ – 4′ 6″
34″ 4′ 7″ – 5′ 0″
35″ 5′ 1″ – 5′ 2″
36.5″ 5′ 3″ upwards
37.5″ 5′ 10″ upwards
38.5″ Taller players

NOTE:
If you are 5’10” you don’t have to use a 37.5″ stick, it is a matter of personal choice and equally someone under 5’10” may prefer a slightly longer Hockey stick and opt for the 37.5″, in our experience the majority of Hockey players us a 36.5″

Great piece of kit, second time I’ve had Naked and cannot be happier.

Dream 70 puts the pro in pro bow

This stick has been great to me great smashing power for shots in the D and has a nice grip allowing a better and closer feel to the ball and is the great balance between being able to do complex skills and the foundations, strong and sturdy for getting stuck into tackles and still has its shape with minimal ware even after prolonged use, great stick which I massively recommend to others thinking of getting a pro bow!

DREAM 70.

So far so good with this product. Really nicely balanced and great power for carbon content. Seems to be good quality. No complaints.

A very underwhelming stick

First off, the purchase and delivery of this stick all ran smoothly, very quick and efficient. Absolutely no problem in that side of things or with Naked Hockey themselves. However the stick itself was a huge disappointment. Upon using it for the first time I found it was very good at stopping a ball, absorbs the energy of the pass very nicely but that was the only real pro. The hitting power felt very lack luster in general through both hitting and slapping, sweeping the stick felt like the stick was grabbing on to the ground rather than gliding over it, floor skills feel slow and for the first time ever of having a new stick, I have come away with small blisters on my hands from the grip after one training session. On top of all that there are a few paint chips near the head already so I don't hold out much hope for longevity of this stick. I have used a Naked stick before and it was great but I think they have really missed the mark with this product this season.

Hey Andrew

Sorry that this stick hasn't met with your expectations. The Dream 2 is a lower carbon stick designed more for touch than power. Some players prefer that and it is suitable for junior players that haven't developed a good first touch yet.

We have never had any complaints about our grips - they are standard stock grips that are used on all sticks. Perhaps an idea to layer a chamois over it until your hands develop some calouses.

Next time try one of the plus range - they are used by the top pros.

Hope that helps and that you give us another try!

Naked Dream 70 - great all rounder

The naked Dream 70 is a brilliant stick with the perfect weight and bow for an all rounder. Great for hitting and flicking. And nice and light for speeding up stick skills. Love the colour combo. Was a risk buying as never heard of naked sticks and was used to my gryphon taboo blue steel but I can safely say I’m fully converted to the naked way of hockey 👍🏼😎
